An interesting lineup on radio station 774 ABC Melbourne, with the “prolific” (and very grandfathery-sounding) Alexander McCall Smith, Stephen Cummings, and Michael Williams (Head of Programming at the Wheeler Centre).
Engaging, entertaining, absolutely worth a listen. What a great group of people to put together in a room!
…I love Michael Williams. He speaks so well, and is so great to listen to. I saw him on a panel at The First Word last year at the Emerging Writers Festival, and, honestly, Wheeler could not have chosen anyone for this job more in touch with things and more like a real person.

I am now utterly, head-over-heels in love with the idea of the Wheeler Centre.
And you’re right, Michael Williams sounds like a great fit for the program.
I can’t wait to see some of their videos and how they build the webspace.

I KNOW! How exciting is it that they’re filming? I’m now not so entirely heartbroken that I’ve missed tickets to the Storytelling Gala event… Did you get tickets for it?
At least I’ll be able to watch it online. and then watch it again. and again.

I must say the storytelling gala one didn’t really light my fire.
I’m loving the idea of the lunchbox/soapbox series though – really looking forward to going to see Peter Singer later this month.
I wonder if, since they linked our blogs, we could get access for interviews etc. Gotta be worth a try in my opinion. Might be something we should put our heads together on.

they seem to be quite accommodating and keen to support anyone who is supporting them.
Do you mean to interview people together and do a joint-article kind of blog situation for those interviews? or blog seperately? Or just put heads together as to how to get on in to that interviewingness?
