Book Affair on Elgin Street are closing down. Not moving, just closing down. So that’s pretty damn sad.
BUT, before they shut their doors they’re having a sale – all books are $2.
Between classes today I managed to pick up five books for just $10. A friend of mine, who has a ridiculous knack for used-book store sales, picked up something like thirty books…
I’m not sure when the sale ends, so you’d better shimmy on down there quick-smart before all the good stuff goes.

Hey Sam, thanks for the heads-up about this place! D’you know, I ride past it several times a week as it’s on the way from my house to the bakery, library, video store, pub etc. but up until today had never been in. After reading your post I dropped by this morning and discovered it’s not a tiny little shop as I’d presumed but three storeys of pain-stakingly categorised and sub-categorised pre-loved goodies! It’s already been picked over quite well but I did find my way to the medical sciences section (basement, back corner, bottom three shelves) and pick up a very beautiful, first edition introductory physiology book with amazing illustrations that is all of 97 years old. My new favourite thing! So thanks again :). Hope you’re feeling better.

No worries, Hannah! Glad you got something out of it. Yay for niche interests!
